Two ways to use it
| Form | What the customer sees | You need |
|---|---|---|
| Payment link | A page at https://cashvya.com/pay/your-link | No code at all |
| Embedded modal | The checkout over your own site | One script tag |
Both use the same hosted checkout, so both get the same QR, the same UPI app handoff and the same bank verification.
Payment links (no code)
Create one in Dashboard → Payment links. You choose:
- a title and description the customer sees;
- a fixed amount, or a flexible amount the customer enters;
- which customer details are required;
- a banner image and accent colour;
- where to send the customer after a successful payment.
You get a URL to put in a WhatsApp message, an Instagram bio, an invoice or a QR code.
For a fixed-amount link, the stored link is what sets the price. A customer cannot change it by editing the page, which is the main reason to prefer a link over a browser button.
Adding ?ref=YOUR-ORDER-ID to a link ties the payment to one of your order
references, so a retry pays the same order instead of creating a new one.
Embedded modal
Keep the customer on your page and open the checkout over it:
<script src="https://cashvya.com/cashvya.js"></script>
<script>
Cashvya.pay({
paymentId, // created by your server
onSuccess: r => location = '/thank-you?order=' + r.order_id
});
</script>
Desktop gets a centred panel, mobile gets a bottom sheet. It can only be closed with its close button, so a mis-tap does not abandon a payment. Full options in SDKs.
What the customer gets
- A QR code first on desktop, and a direct handoff to an installed UPI app on mobile.
- A visible countdown, so the payment window is never a surprise.
- Your business name and branding, not a generic gateway page.
- A clear outcome screen, and a return to your site.
- A WhatsApp receipt with the amount and UPI reference, if you have receipts enabled.
Getting paid
Payments are grouped into IST calendar days (12:00 AM to 11:59 PM). The settlement for a day is raised automatically after midnight and paid the following day. Your bank account and UPI ID must both be saved, or the settlement is held until they are.
